Nepal Visit 2024 – Dental Camp
Our last visit to Nepal was in 2019 – before you know what - where we visited several churches in the Dang valley to put on 'Dental Camps' to help in the outreach to their local communities.
In November 2023 the church in Nepalganj put on a medical camp but they were unable to provide much in the way of dental input. I have been in contact to see if a visit from a team from Crofton would be useful to them and they replied with an excited 'yes!' but that they could only cope with a small team.
Plans are underway to form a team for a Nepal visit in November 2024.
Provisional date / itinerary as follows
Thursday 28 November Fly Gtw – Dohar
Friday 29 November Arrive Kathmandu
Saturday 30 November Fly to Nepalganj
Sunday 1 December Day trips / overnight stays
Tuesday 3 December Dental camps in Dang
Wednesday 4 December Rest Day
Thursday 5 December Day trips / overnight stay
Friday 6 December Dental camps
Saturday 7 December Church / local treatments
Sunday 8 December Return to Kathmandu
Monday 9 December Local / other trips
- Thursday 12 December Fly Ktm / Dohar / Gtw
Time-table subject to change depending on the team who commit – there may be more walking / remote work if the local church request and we feel fit enough. Otherwise it's mostly riding in 4 wheel drive vehicles and basic accommodation, sit down loos and lots of safe/interesting food.
A team could include Dentists (obviously) – 4 would be great
but also people able to help support patients, bring / mix materials, supervise sterilizing instruments (all training provided on the job), those who pray, preach, minister, want to be amazed by God are also needed.
Dental material costs £1500.00 – donations to CHEN
are welcome to cover these -please ask about Gift-Aid
It's impossible to explain everything about a trip to visit the church in Nepal – it just has to be experienced! If you want to ask more
then please contact Andrew (07775 687397) or Sara Bottomley.
